I don’t think I know a time when I was more genuinely filled with peace and passion than when my eye is behind the lens of a camera. I couldn’t tell you when I discovered it, really, except that I remember always thinking photographs were more powerful than I could articulate. Photography had the power to freeze a piece of time, to keep it somewhere, always, even if it was just in the form of mega pixels or 35mm film.
And actually capturing these moments was like wielding a paintbrush only instead of paint, I create with light and mirrors and reflection and ultimately reality. Each image is a translation of what exists in front of me but portrayed and focused with my mind and my heart and all of its intentions. The genuine intention of photography is to create a narrative – your narrative – through a single frame. One blink of the eye. One single breath drawn. Click – and the story is yours to shape.
