Beginning a new spring semester with an environmental law class is exciting – not that I am back in school after what seemed like such a short little break but because NO MORE FINANCE CLASSES.  For now, I guess.   Winter semester kicked my ass but I managed to eek out an A- in managerial finance which was shocking considering I was expecting to pull up my grades and see a thumbs down next to a sad face.  That class was rough.

But law?  Law I can handle.  Law, actually, I’m a little in love with, the three law classes I took as an undergrad were among my favorite.  My Con Law professor wrote on my first brief “this was law school great.  Be a lawyer!” and coming from a partner at Brown Rudnick….I almost fell out of my chair.  Great professor, great class.  I considered law school, actually, and still do sometimes even though after I saw my student loan balance the other day I nearly flung myself into oncoming traffic I realized my MBA is probably the last degree I will be seeking.  Unless someone finances the next one or the university lets me pay in skittles.

I’m also a little tired these days, I chalk it up to being busy but more than likely it’s that whole new relationship phase.  You know, where you are out more than you used to be and spend lots of time staying up until ridiculous hours of the morning (talking of course, G-rated content, hi Mom!) and you just feel sort of….hazy.  But in a good way, overtired with happiness and filled with excitement in the morning even when it’s Monday and raining and you haven’t slept a lot all weekend due to some late nights and and an awesome night of Blackjack.

I know the tiredness isn’t going to end anytime soon now that school is here again but god, it is just ridiculous how different life can seem when you are happy where you are, comfortable with not knowing what’s next and falling head over heels for someone incredible.

I will take the right now over anything else.
